Inductees into the Hall of Excellence have demonstrated consistent and outstanding results at the highest levels of competition in Masters Swimming. Although their records speak for themselves, we honour swimmers who:
- Have excelled in a minimum of three age groups
- Have solid performances at the National and International levels
- Are regular participants in competition
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship
The minimum age for beginning competition is 18 years and achievement is limited to Masters participation only. Accomplishments that will be considered include:
- World records and rankings
- National records and rankings
- Provincial records and rankings
- World and National Championship participation
- Other factors, including points as listed on Christian Berger's swimmers statistics site

In alphabetical order, the 2010 inductees were:
Judie Oliver, 78 Ontario, NYG
Since Judie became a masters swimmer in 1975 she has set 162+ Canadian national records in seven age groups. In 2009 Judy held three national records each in the 60-64 and 65-69 and 16 and 18 in 70-74 and 75-79 age groups. Judie ranks in the number 3 position on the all-time points rankings.
Jaring Timmerman, 101 Manitoba, ASSI
Jarring is currently the oldest registered masters swimmer in Canada. Jaring held 23 national records at the end of 2009, 7 in 85-89, 4 in 90-94, 8 in 95-99, and four in 100-104. Jaring set three world records in the 2009 provincial championships and then went on to set another three at nationals.
In alphabetical order, the 2009 inductees were:
Jacques Amyot, 85 Quebec, CMNQ
Jacques was a long distance swimmer before joining Masters. He presently holds 14 National records and is 17th on Christian Berger's* All Time list of points (5348). At year-end 2008, Jacques held 54 Quebec records - the highest number in Quebec - and he holds records in all age groups from 65+ to 80+, while working to add some more this year in the 85+. Jacques is strong in all strokes but best in free, breast and IM.
Lynn Marshall, 48 Ontario, CAPS
A master's swimmer since 1990, Lynn has broken 10 World Records. She is second overall with 50 National Records as of Dec 08 and is the top swimmer (13299) on Christian Berger's All Time list. If Lynn stopped swimming today, she would retain this spot for years to come.
Mike Morrow, 59 Alberta, CMSC
Mike has been a Master since the early eighties. His excels in all events, but especially the 200 breast and 400 IM. Mike presently holds two National Records, but he has broken many. He is the top ranked male on Christian Berger's All Time list, with (7690)points.
Bonnie Pronk, 67, British Columbia, CRGW
Originally from Ontario, Bonnie is the first overall record holder with an impressive 59 National Records as of Dec 08. She has broken 20 World Records in a career that spans from '77-83, and 96 to present. Bonnie holds the second most points (9948) on Christian Berger's All Time list.
