Swimming on the web
Go Swim
Just to get fully back on track I've got a second site and this one is swimming specific.
www.goswim.tv is an interesting site created by Glenn Mills, swim coach, member of the 1980 US Olympic swim team in the 200 breaststroke, and masters swimmer.
My favourite part of the site is the free drill videos. Go Swim has created a large collection of videos that each illustrate a particular drill with both written and soundtrack explanation about what the drill is supposed to teach you or help you work on and the fine points of doing it right.
Go Swim also sells a line of videos with well known elite swimmers illustrating their approach to their particular stroke or event. I've got a few of these videos and really like the approach they take, which is to provide a lot of good video footage of really good swimmers demonstrating really good technique. Most of the videos center around a number of "focus points" that the swimmers use to work on their stroke. I think these are some of the best instructional DVDs available, check them out.
Some of the material on Go Swim is aimed at younger swimmers but they also have some material specifically aimed at masters swimmers.
