Why triathletes should work on their swimming

In an article on slowtwitch.com Dan Empfield makes the case for why triathlete's should concentrate on improving their swimming instead of putting in extra miles running or on the bike. In brief, he argues that most triathletes can drop time in their swims with less time and effort than dropping equivalent time in the other two disciplines. Perhaps his arguments can help you recruit a triathlete or two to your club?

Here's the article: The case for swimming

Dan also wrote Masters: the best way to get faster. It refers to US Masters Swimming but the arguments are the same.
